A play of light and texture defines the Sero Front-Back Earrings, meticulously crafted in 18K rose-gold. At its heart lies an exquisite Japanese Akoya pearl, encircled by round rose-cut diamonds, complemented by pavé-set diamonds. A new ‘invisible’ linking technique was developed for the collection, inspired by Chikankari shadow work, allowing rose-cut diamonds to appear as though they delicately float over the skin. The Japanese Akoya pearls at the top can also be worn separately as earstuds.

THE INSPIRATION
Chikankari embroidery
Chikankari is a centuries-old hand embroidery technique that originated in the royal courts of Lucknow, India. Similar fine needlework appears across cultures, including French broderie blanche, Japanese sashiko, Italian lacework, and Madeira s white-on-white embroidery. It begins with almost invisible stitches, which are worked from the back of the fabric or buried gently into the weave of the fabric, like the beauty of connections that are strengthened in subtle, unseen ways.
